Mr. A. Elliott had a haulage & coach business at Drews which he sold to Mr. Charles Wade, who lived at St. Peter's Cottage in Peterswell Lane and later bought the Temperance Hotel in the Square. It is now owned by Mr. Dave Foster, a carpenter.
For some time in the 1930's Mr. J. Dark, a carpenter, had a workshop at St. John's Cottage.
Jon Schiller
John Schiller, builder, was for some years operating from Sutcombe. He is now living in Bradworthy and has repaired and built many houses in the area.
